Southern Rigging Supplies

The business is run by Ian Black who has a history of producing wire assemblies and custom stainless steel rigs to the scientific communities. Primarily for susbsea and surface instrumentation deployment and instrument rigging.

In 2002 Southern Rigging Supplies was started to serve all market sectors. Industry, Trade and Home Users.

Specializing in the manufacture of custom wire rope assemblies for a wide variety of applications. Full swaging and talurit splicing services are available along with load test facilities.

Most of our wire assemblies are swaged inhouse but we have fully mobile electro-hydraulic equipment and can swage and install wire assemblies onsite anywhere in the UK.

To further complement our wire assemblies, we have developed a range of modular balustrade systems. These systems being suited to either wire rope or glass infill.

This modular design enables rapid turnaround of custom designs along with very competitive pricing.

In 2008 we developed our own state of the art balustrade and upstand load testing rig. With increasing emphasis on design aspects and safety margins, this has been essential.
